Antique Wooden Drop Apothecary Case
Antique golden oak drop front apothecary case. Dating to the early 1900's this antique desk top apothecary station would include bottles and tinctures most commonly used either by a physician or chemist. This may have been either in a high end household or private physicians surgery. Novel and functional this beautiful case originally would have had a pair of carrying handles on the side (there is evidence in the holes). This could be repurposed in a vintage property as a bar accessory for storage of mixers and bitters or as an antique display in an apothecary store.
A great addition to your antique medical collection or eclectic home decor or as an early holiday gift idea.
Case measures 16" long by 9.5" deep by 11.5" tall and weighs: 14b 3oz
In good condition considering age and use. There are some small holes on the side, for missing handles. There is also a small crack in the wood at the top of the back of the unit - please see all pictures as they form part of the description.
