Antique WW1 Brass French Three Draw Telescope Mohrson 16X Military Officer Issue
DESCRIPTION
Original antique WW1 era French 3 draw telescope. Beautiful telescope which has a leather and brass body with end cap cover. The end cap retains its sliding lens protector which is in good working order. The lenses are clear and the focus is worked by retracting and elongating the barrel as necessary. This piece dates to the beginning of the 20th century and is most likely French in origin. These particular telescopes were a favorite of night watchmen and watch officers stationed on deck at night .
Marked on the brass shaft: Mohrson 16 X
