Vintage Art Deco cast metal door knocker. Cast in nickel plated brass and aluminum this formidable and classic door knocker depicts typical Art Deco style in the backplate with a large mythical north wind head protruding holding the knocker in its mouth. This is very much in the vogue with the Italian designs or ornate decor of the time with much influence from classicalism. These designs are also prevalent in high end properties in Argentina. This piece dates to the 1920's to 1940's and would display beautifully in large front door with character as its knocker.

This would make a great addition to any eclectic home decor or art deco property front door.

MEASUREMENTS

Knocker measures 13.5" wide by 8.5" tall (11" including knocker) by 1.5" deep.

CONDITION

In nice condition with small signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use. There is some staining to the front which can be seen in the images (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
