Art Nouveau Wood & Sterling Silver Double Picture Frame
Art Nouveau double picture frame. Early arts and crafts style of wooden frame with sterling silver accents flowers typical of the art nouveau period. Painted in gold color and adorned with silver accents this antique photo frame currently houses a before and after image of a gentleman in superb attire on his way to a summer festival on the left and then a later more disheveled figure on his return.
Dating to around the 1880/90's when the artist George Timothy Tobin was prominent in the New York illustration world. This is a rare and highly collectable practical picture frame.

Item measures 11.5“ wide by 9.75“ tall and weighs just under 1 lb.
In good usable condition with signs of use commensurate with age, scuffs etc and one of the metal struts on the back is missing but it still stands upright (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
