Antique ornately decorated French/Italian panel. Late 18th century decorated framed panel overlaid with an architectural interior of a Pompei house. The border is decorated heavily with festoons around the head of a cherub on top all carved from applied wood. The panel is chamfered on the back and there are indications as to the previous existence of hinges which further verify that it was originally a panel.
