WW2 Brass Nautical Compass by C G Conn

DESCRIPTION

WW2 memorabilia nautical compass made for the US Navy Bureau of Ships by C G Conn, ltd. Pressed into service by the government during World War II, the band instrument factory completely retooled in order to manufacture compasses, altimeters, gyro-horizon indicators, and other related items for the war effort.

This is a mark 1 nautical compass for a 3-5" domehead binnacle. This would make a great addition to any nautical collection or ww2 memorabilia military collection. equally it would be fabulous for a nautical decor restaurant or any maritime location.   

MEASUREMENTS  

The nautical compass measures 9" in diameter (18" with correcting spheres) by 6" tall and weighs almost 21lbs.  

CONDITION

In good condition but there is are some chips on the edges of the spectacles - please see all pictures as they form part of the description
