Original Walter Lang Fishing Photograph
Original back and white photograph of Director Walter Lang with his black sea bass prize catch. Caught in 1927 by Lang when he was out sport fishing with the renowned Catalina island resident Arthur B Chappell, known as "Chappie"(1864-1950). He is reported to have been the fifth man to settle in Avalon. He owned the vessels Pauline and Chappie, and remained active as a sports fisherman until 1934 when he retired in his home on Marilla Avenue, Avalon.
Purchased in Los Angeles directly from the estate of Walter Langs son, Richard.
