Signed Bronze Female Bust Sculpture by Peter M Fillerup
Vintage signed original bronze female bust by Peter M Fillerup (1953-2016). The subject is in keeping with his theme of an old western dance hall girl. Cast for the San Dimas Art Festival in 1990, California this sculpture was part of a quick draw art competition. This competition involves guest artists to complete a piece of art in one hour ( bar casting or firing). It is a community festival which involves locals along with more prestigious artists. Not sure if this piece was presented as a prize or gift but it is beautifully cast in bronze , and patinated in the French style with her feather boa and ostentatious fascinator.
A great addition to your vintage bronze sculpture collection or a fabulous addition to your art nouveau style home decor.
