DESCRIPTION

Vintage 1923 Finnish bible with full illustrations by Gustave Dore. Titled on the front Perhe Raamattu which translates to family bible this was printed in 1923 in Finland and has the family tree of the previous owners extending back to the 18th century. All plates are in tact and in typical Dore fashion superbly illustrated. Beautifully tooled on the front and the spine which has highlights in gold make this a collectable Finnish bible.

MEASUREMENTS

This book measures 12.75" long by 9.75" wide by 2.75" deep and weighs 10lb 8oz.

CONDITION

This book is in good condition considering age. The outer cover shows most of the wear and tear in particular the outer spine. The inner cover seems to have a modern taping repair at the front and back, I am assuming it came loose from the book. The binding is tight and the illustrations are in excellent condition (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
