Vintage 1969 Original Signed Henri Martinez Psychedelic Surrealism Art Painting
Vintage 1969 original signed Henri Martinez painting. Psychedelic Surrealism piece of art by Spanish artist produced in 1969. The painting depicts a striking looking lady in an upright sitting stance which morphs into a psychedelic stream of visual colors which intimate limbs. It has apparent influences of Gustav Klimts works as in "Adele Bloch Bauer" and "the kiss". A great visual display of creative art which is mezmerising to the mind as well as the eye.
Martinez is more renowned for designing Jimi Hendrix first solo album cover in 1970 called "First Rays of the New Rising Sun". Hendrix personally commissioned artist Henri Martinez to create a painting to be used as the cover image depicting Jimi as a proud Cherokee warrior, holding his "weapon" of peace -- an electric guitar. This album was not approved by the record company and was therefore not used in the end.
