Vintage 1976 Abstract Art American Flag by Gene Gill
Original retro abstract art design piece by Gene Gill created in 1976. Made in celebration of the American Independence bicentenary in 1976 this patriotic art piece has a birthday inscription on the back from the artist. Depicting the Stars & Stripes this would make a great addition to any man cave, or abstract art collection. This was recently acquired directly from the artists estate in valley lights, Pasadena, CA.
In the 70's Gene Gill painted abstract designs on several layers of clear plastic. Each layer was set into a frame and spaced 1" apart. The background was a sheet of polished aluminum, also spaced 1" from the sheets of plastic. All this was set into a polished aluminum frame. The image constantly changed as the viewer moved around and as the lighting changed.
Signed on the reverse: "Happy Birthday" G Gill 1/1976

This would make a great addition to any vintage art or patriotic collection. This would make a great early birthday gift.
