Vintage Bronze Geschutzt Signed Native American Statue Figure after Carl Kauba
Original bronze sculpture of a running native American indian. Cast in bronze this Indian Chief running in full war bonnet is raising an alarm with one hand raised to his mouth. Originally sculpted by Carl Kauba (Austrian, 1865-1922) this piece is titled "Running Indian". These were cast by several different foundries in Austria with some slight variations. This has a larger bronze base which is cast as one with the indian which has the Kauba signature and Austrian copyright. This piece dates to within Carl Kauba's lifetime.
Bronze stamped Geschutzt 3800 on one leg, signed C Kauba on top of base and Geschutzt on side of base
This would make a great addition to your western home decor, bronze, Austrian or Native American collection.
Statue measures 9" tall by 3" wide by 5" deep and weighs 4lb 11oz.
This bronze is in good condition but his streamers are missing from the ends of his feathers (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
