Vintage Cold Cast Bronze Medallion by Giovanni Schoeman
Vintage metal clad paperweight medallion. Designed by Giovanni Schoeman around a quote from the French philosopher Albert Camus. Camus was a philosopher of absurdism as well as a novelist and journalist. The medallion depicts whimsical winged figure holding a trumpet on one hand as if heralding the triumphant of a new era. This is bronze clad or cold cast bronze which uses bronze powder and a resin binder. This piece dates from the late 1970's or early 1980's and has a gold colored tone to it.
Signed on side: Giovanni Schoeman
Quote on front: In the Midst of Winter I Finally Learned that there was in me an Invincible Summer
A fabulous addition to your rare medallion collection. This would make a great addition to any philosophers desk as a paperweight.
