Vintage Frosted Czech Glass Victoire Radiator Cap Spirit Of The Wind Paperweight

  • $ 15000

DESCRIPTION

Vintage frosted glass car mascot hood ornament. This Czech reproduction of Victoire the spirit of the wind hood ornament dates to between the 1950s-70s. Originally designed in France in clear glass by Rene Lalique in 1928 to mark the 10th anniversary of the end of WW1 this was screwed over the radiator cap. The symbol represents peace and the forward motion of time with speed as the industrial era came into a new age. This piece is mounted on a black glass plinth which almost suspends the frosted glass paperweight.

A fabulous addition to your art deco home decor or glass collection.
