DESCRIPTION

Vintage original southwestern style signed oil on canvas board. Cityscape scene depicting a rural street scene in strong bright colors. Titled on the reverse "Afternoon Shadows 282" this original art perfectly depicts the tall shadows cast in the afternoon in the narrow streets of the town which is further accentuated by the contrasting color scheme used by the artist. The blue green may represent water which has been poured along the street steps perhaps after a shower as it shows reflection of the buildings in the pooling and hence why the sharp contrast in color. An interesting and striking painting which has a certain mid century feel about it.
