Vintage head of the Virgin Mary sculpture made from a Carrara marble resin. A faithful reproduction of Michelangelos Pieta which is located in St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. The sculpture was produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1982 with the authorization of the Vatican Museum. It is cast in cold cast marble which is a mixture of refined marble and a polymer resin.

Sculpture measures 13" long by 9" wide by 7" deep (original backing platform measures 24" by 18") and weighs 12b 5oz.
