Vintage Set Of 6 Russian Silver Plated Glass Cup Holders USSR Soviet Space Era
DESCRIPTION
Vintage set 6 silver plated Soviet Russian glass teacup holders. Dating to the 1960's these space age era holders depict a victorious Columbia type figure holding aloft her hand toward the stars as if she has launched a satellite into orbit. This has obvious intimations towards the Soviets launching into space (perhaps the first woman) and as it dates to the 1960's it may well celebrate cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkovas launch in 1963.
