Vintage Signed Landscape Painting by California Artist Emilie Hall
Vintage original signed southwestern landscape oil painting. Original landscape scene of rolling hills painted by accomplished listed California artist Emilie Hall. This vintage western piece is titled "The Hills of Home" being painted on board and exhibited at an art show. This art piece was bequeathed to the previous owner by the artist estate in the late 1970's. It was recently acquired at the estate of the recipient.
Emilie G. Hall was born in either 1893 or 1903 and died 1988 and lived in Alhambra where there was a commune of artists mixing with each other lead by Frank Tenney Johnson who had Maynard Dixon and Victor Forsyth as constant visitors.
Signed on the bottom right hand corner in caps Emilie Hall.

Another label states the name of the person that the painting was to be bequeathed to on the artists death and verified by the executor of the estate for provenance (Ruth Ridgway) for November 24th 1978, which was 10 years before her death.
This vintage oil painting landscape scene would make a great addition to any southwestern collection, ranch style property, fathers day gift or housewarming gift.
