Original Signed 1820 French Lithograph Proofs

Original set of 3 French animal lithographs signed as artists print proofs dating to the 1820s. All three individual prints are of 6 canines or felines interacting with other animals which were meant for the cover page of a magazine and signed by their respective lithographers. These working examples were for final printing in the magazine at the time and are a rare survivor of early lithographic printing of animals in their natural hunting habitat.

MEASUREMENTS

Each framed piece measures 19" by 15" and together they weigh: 8lb 3oz.


CONDITION

In good condition considering age and use. There is a small tear in the paper on the top right handside of one of the prints. there is evidence of some holding on the paper of the lithographs (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
